The 1982 Eisteddfod was a one-day event held in the Town Hall supper room.   There were 163 entries and it was a very busy Committee that faced this day with a mixture of excitement, trepidation, organised chaos and frustration.   Following the success of this Eisteddfod, the City of Fremantle stated that they would allow future Eisteddfods to be held in the Exhibition Hall in the hope that this would become an annual event in Fremantle.   The years in the Exhibition Hall were very successful and happy ones and the generosity of Premier Pianos, Zenith Music and, at a later date, Snadens, was much appreciated.   In 1986, due to a change in the layout of the Council Offices, the Eisteddfod moved to the Fremantle Education Centre.   After three years, it was necessary to return to the Town Hall where the Eisteddfod has been held ever since.   Tribute must be paid to the Committee Members over the past twenty-five years, who have unstintingly devoted their time and talents to providing performance opportunities to so many thousands of music students
